Police Blotter Rewind: OWI, Harassing Notes

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls Jan. 3 to Jan. 8. Take a look at the reports.

Editor's note: All information below is provided by the Johnston Police Department in incident reports through Jan. 8. Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Jan. 3
Tayor Burkhead, who had graduated from Johnston High School and was at the school, refused to leave. School requested the subject be trespassed from the property. On Jan. 4, he returned to the school and was arrested.

Jan. 4
Gerald Zenor, 43, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.

An 18-year-old male reported a harassing note was left on the windshield of his car in the parking lot of Johnston High School.

Stanley Canova, 24, was arrested fro operating while intoxicated - second offense and cited for speeding.

Olivia Canova, 21, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 8
Justin Curnes, 26, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and cited for failure to use headlamps.

A 14-year-old student reported money stolen from the gym at Johnston Middle School.

A 41-year-old man reported that a 52-year-old man continues to come on his property and steal the pop cans he has set aside for his kids. Victim wanted subject trespassed from his property.

A 62-year-old woman reported someone had opened a credit account under her name without her authorization.

American TV reported someone had stolen a Macbook Pro from their display.

A 24-year-old man reported his roommate had damaged two non-functioning laptops when when the man was 'kicked' out of the apartment.

A 24-year-old woman reported ordering a dining room table set online through a company in New York. The company did not ship the item and when contacted they advised they would not ship the item and would not refund the money due to financial difficulties.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a verbal domestic dispute.
