Police Blotter Rewind: Party Bus Damage, Stolen Purse

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls Dec. 12 to Dec. 15. Take a look at the reports.

Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Dec. 12
The Cab, 8460 Birchwood Court, reported a man and woman stole a dog statue from the bar. The statue was returned.

Dec. 13
A 24-year-old woman reported money stolen from her purse while she was at work. The woman believes a co-worker had taken the money.

A 26-year-old woman reported a female acquaintance had taken her EBT card and made a purchase on it.

Joshua Johnson, 27, was arrested for driving while revoked.

Youth Homes of Mid America reported a runaway. The runaway later returned on his own.

Dec. 14
A 15-year-old Johnston High School student was charged with possession of marijuana.

Dale White, 53, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Four Johnston High School students were found going in and out of classrooms after school hours when a concert was in progress at the school.

Johnston High School reported a stolen laptop.

Advantage Homes reported someone had trespassed on their property and illegally dumped some brush.

Crouse & Henson Construction reported stolen wire from a construction site - estimated loss at $1,100.

Jerry's Homes reported aluminum facia stolen from a construction site - estimated loss at $270.

Mid American Energy reported receiving a harassing phone call from a customer that lives in Johnston.

Dec. 15
American Party Buses reported four buses were brooking into along with a storage shed. Nothing was reported mission at the time of report. Damage to property and vehicles is estimated at $830.

A 46-year-old man reported someone had broken into his party bus and taken a stereo and caused approximately $500 in damage.
