Winter Storm Magnus Causes Delays, Cancelations at Des Moines Airport

Icy road ways and blowing snow are causing problems on Iowa roadways, but the airport has also been affected. 

The Des Moines International Airport is reporting excessive delays for flights today.

In Des Moines, winds are gusting up to 28 miles per hour, with a steady snow fall.

Snow will taper off around 11 a.m., Weather.com reports.

Winter Storm Magnus is currently hitting most of the midwest.

Heavy snow is stretching from Iowa to Central Wisconsin into upper Michigan. Cities affected include: Kansas City, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Madison and Green Bay.
