5 Things to Do In Marion This Weekend Nov. 11-13
Here is a guide to help fill your weekend in Marion with fun.

- Backstage. November 11.
- A play about putting on a play, performed by students. Tickets cost $5 and the play starts at 7:30 p.m. A performance will also be held Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
- : Music in the MUD. November 11
- A performance featuring The Beaker Brothers. Tickets cost $5. Cheese plates cost $15. Doors open at 6 p.m. — show starts at 7 p.m.
- 19th Annual Turkey Trot. November 12
- Check out our of the family friendly four kilometer walk and eight kilometer run to raise funds for the Cedar Rapids-based non-profit service agency, Horizons, a Family Service Alliance. From 7 to 11 a.m. Cost is $25 for participants if they want a T-shirt and $15 if they do not.
- RedRover Training Workshop. November 12
- RedRover is a national nonprofit that offers a workshop for people who want to shelter and care for animals rescued from large cruelty situations or displaced by floods, fires and other natural disasters. At the from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $50 per person in advance. Advance registration is required. Attendees must be at least 18 years old. Register online at www.redrover.org/responders.
- Personal Rememberence of 9/11. November 13
- The is hosting Tony Rajer, who will present his experiences when he was in New York City on 9/11, in addition to some recently declassified photographs. The program starts at 1:30 at the Marion Heritage Center. It costs $5 for adults and $2 for those younger than 18. For more information, call (319) 447-6376.
