As Iowa boys basketball player of the year heads off to one of the nation's elite college basketball programs in University of North Carolina, recognition continues to follow.

Paige is at the top of the list of a Tar Heel recruiting class that experts are raving about as one of the best in the nation.

On ESPN's recruiting tracker, they called Paige "the nation's best floor general," who can "push tempo, galvanize a team and assert himself on offense."

Paul Biancardi of RecruitingNation writes that "Coach Roy Williams has secured some outstanding floor generals in his career, and now we can add Marcus Paige (Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) to that prestigious list. The lefty can push the pace with the best of them or execute in the half-court set."

Paige was also named to the 2012 PARADE All-America Basketball Team.
