Marion Police: Woman Faces Multiple Charges After Allegedly Hitting Parked Car While Intoxicated

Marion resident Jennifer Helton, 30, faces multiple charges after police say she drove into a parked car while intoxicated.

According to the , she was charged with driving while intoxicated/drugged, first offense, striking an unattended vehicle and not showing proof of insurance.

She was charged on April 1 and was pulled over to the 5100 block of Prairie Ridge Avenue.

Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated/drugged, first offense, is a serious misdemeanor.

April 1

Jennifer Leigh Helton, 30, 1910 50th Street, Marion, was charged with driving while intoxicated/drugged, first offense, striking an unattended vehicle and not having proof of insurance, not accident related, at the 5100 block of Prairie Ridge Avenue.

Heath Stuart Martin, 46, Cedar Rapids, was arrested in conjunction with an outstanding arrest warrant at 200 Menard Lane.

Steven Ray Turner, 25, 3270 Eighth Street, Marion, was charged with domestic assault causing serious injury or mental illness, at 3270 Eighth Street.

April 2

Joshua Ralph Carpenter, 31, Iowa City, was charged with driving while intoxicated, drugged, second offense, at 340 Marion Boulevard.

Maria Annette Gomez, 37, 1485 Medowview Drive, Marion, was arrested in conjunction with an outstanding arrest warrant at 1485 Medowview Drive.

April 3

Shayne William Kemmerling, 26, Cedar Rapids, was arrested in conjunction with an outstanding arrest warrant a the 1100 block of Sixth Avenue.

Rodney Edward Liberman, 41, Cedar Rapids, was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to display registered plates, at the 100 block of Sixth Avenue.

Hanna Renee Madren, 19, 2651 Regal Court, Marion, was charged with driving while intoxicated, drugged, first offense at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Ninth Street.

Alexandra Jayne Bachman, 19, Cedar Rapids, was charged with underage possession of alcohol, at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Ninth Street.

Steven Ray Turner, 25, 3270 Eighth Street, Marion, was charged with a violation of a no contact order due to domestic abuse, at 3270 Eighth Street.

Nicole Marie Leitch, 37, 896 Fifth Avenue, Marion, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and a disorderly house violation, at 896 Fifth Avenue.

April 4

Vance Fredrick Barton, 45, 2365 Beryl Street, Marion, was charged with assault without intent to injure at 1430 13th Avenue.

Michelle Lynn Fowler, 43, Hiawatha, was charged with driving with a suspended license at the corner of Alburnett Road and Geode Street.

Jessica Jean Feuchtwanger, 27, 1255 George Drive, Marion, was arrested in conjunction with an outstanding arrest warrant, at the 5400 block of Highway 151.

April 5

Thaddeus Raymond Walters, 21, 1690 Ninth Street, Marion, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, at 1680 Ninth Street.

Megan Colleen Herring, 19, 801 22nd Street, Marion, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public consumption/intoxication, at the 220 block of Seventh Avenue.

Mitchell Lee Schneider, 18, 5310 Sterling Heights Drive, Marion, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, at the corner of 10th Avenue and Forth Street.

Laree Clair Minor, 54, Cedar Rapids, was arrested in conjunction with an outstanding arrest warrant at 1203 Blairs Ferry Road.
