Auditor Requests Investigation of Voting Complaint from Linn County Casino Vote

The auditor's office received a complaint that someone voted on behalf of a registered voter.

Linn County Auditor Joel Miller has requested an investigation of the complaint be conducted by the sheriff's office after consulting with Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz, according to a statement from Linn County.

After receiving a complaint from a registered voter – a woman in her 20s – that someone other than the voter signed the election register, received a ballot, and voted on behalf of the voter on election day, March 5, 2013.
