C.R. Police: Marion Paintball Sniper Leaves Welts on Victim
The reporting victim, a Cedar Rapids man, complained of welts and breaking of the skin.

A Marion man faces several criminal charges after he allegedly shot and hit at least one Cedar Rapids man while hidden within a black SUV on Wednesday night.
The Gazette reports that Cedar Rapids police searched the area where complaints were coming from and found Deryk Anthony Diggs, 24, in a nearby vehicle that happened to have a paintball gun in it.
Police received several reports Wednesday of a black SUV with a license plate partially covered with snow shooting paintballs at people. Officers were able to locate the vehicle around 9 p.m. in the 1400 block of First Avenue East. The driver, Deryk Diggs, 24, of Marion, told police he owned the paintball gun located in the vehicle, but did not admit to shooting anyone with paintballs, Sgt. Denni Randall said. The paintball gun was confiscated by authorities.
