Man Faces Attempted Murder Charge, Possibly 42 Years in Prison in Cedar Rapids Shooting Case
According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, 20-year-old Robert Norris shot 18-year-old Andre Kearney in the torso.

Cedar Rapids Police responded to a shooting on Thursday, finding 18-year-old Andre Kearney shot in the torso.
Police say that he was fighting with 20-year-old Robert Norris at the entrance of an apartment complex, Â 4815 First Ave. W in Cedar Rapids.
Police say Norris shot Kearney and retreated to his residence, but before he made it, he confronted 19-year-old Shanise Williams, then pushed her and slapped her.

Norris was charged with attempted murder, willful injury, armed with intent, carrying weapons, assault and domestic abuse. He was taken to Linn County Jail.
If convicted on all charges to the full penalty, Norris faces up to 42 years in prison.
