Cedar Rapids Man Transported to Hospital After Motorcycle Accident on Big Bend Road
The man was transported to Mercy Hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.

A Cedar Rapids man was injured yesterday evening after he was involved in a single vehicle accident while riding his motorcycle.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Department, yesterday at 6:17 p.m. members of the Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies, Linn County Sheriff’s Rescue, Ely Fire Department, and Area Ambulance responded to a motorcycle crash at the 3100 block of Big Bend Rd.
There they found Ryan Olson, 29, of Cedar Rapids, who had been riding his Suzuki Motorcycle near the point of the accident when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go down on its side. Olson was transported to Mercy Hospital by a private vehicle with non-life threatening injuries. Olson was wearing a helmet at the time of accident, according to the release.

The crash is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
