Cedar Rapids Moves Hundreds of Geese to Coralville Lake
The City of Cedar Rapids have addressed their geese problem by herding 520 geese and moving them to the Coralville Lake.

Cedar Rapids had a geese problem.
Closer to 1,500 problems, or exponentially more than that, if you count the droppings.
In a move to make the sometimes unpleasent, rage-addicted birds go elsewhere, workers of the City of Cedar Rapids have herded approximately 520 geese and sent them to Coralville Lake.

The geese were taken from various city parks, golf courses and between city buildings downtown, according to a story from the Dubuque Telegraph Herald.
Though the act may seem silly to some, Cedar Rapids park superintendnt Daniel Gibbons said there are actually serious safety concerns with the amount of waste left by the geese.

But after the giant gander drop, city officialls are saying that they're going to have to do it all over again next year.
This year's drop is not exceptional, though. The city has been conducting round-ups like this for the past 15 years.
