Fire Prompts Evacuation of Marion High School

Officials are investigating the cause of a fire inside Marion High on Sunday.

No one was hurt in a fire at Marion High School on Sunday evening.

The school, which had activities going on, was evacatuated.

KCRG reported that Marion firefighters responded an alarm going off at around at 7:27 p.m. on Sunday, and the fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

The fire was small, KCRG reported citing the Marion Fire Department.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are not yet clear. Authorities are still investigating.
