Iowa Winter: Like the Warmth? Great. How About Lots of Snow?
The National Weather Service recently announced a winter storm watch, as if the possibility of four to eight inches of snow is icing on the cake that is today's nearly 50 degree high.

Reaching temperatures near 50 degrees, today is most definitely easy and breezy. I now remember what it feels like to not need the heat in my car turned up to 11, blasting directly into my frozen face.
I like to look at the sun, feel the warmth and think the cold, white days of earlier this month are over.
But despite my exuberance and those on the faces of Iowans on this warm day, the National Weather Service just issued a winter storm watch for Thursday, saying that the area could be covered in four to eight inches of snow.
