The owner of the channels, Sinclair Broadcasting Group, is asking for more money in from DISH Network to carry the channels. They've threatened to pull their programming from the television provider at 12:01 a.m. Thursday.
DISH Network has claimed that the media group is asking for more money than any other local broadcaster, according to the Gazette.
Barry Faber, the Sinclair Group's general counsel, argued the company should be paid on a per-viewer rate, meaning they should be paid more than networks that don't reach as many viewers.
