Encore: Convicted Kidnapper Who Attempted Suicide in Linn County Courthouse Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison
A Sixth District Linn County judge has sentenced 32-year-old Jabari Walker of third degree kidnapping.

It's been nearly nine months from when 32-year-old Jabari Walker was convicted of third-degree kidnapping to when he was sentenced.
That's because when he was convicted last year, he jumped over the Linn County Courthouse railing and was caught by Linn County Sheriff deputies before plunging to the courthouse floor. The presiding judge ordered a psychiactric evaluation to see if the Cedar Rapids man was competent enough to stand trial.
Now he's been sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to the Gazette. In addition to the prison time, he'll be on the sex offender registry for 10 years after he gets outÂ
