Kirkwood Approves Salary Increase That Will Cost School $2 Million Per Year
Kirkwood Community College and the Kirkwood Faculty association have aggreed on a faculty raise.

Full time Kirkwood Community College faculty will see a 4 percent salary and benefit raise for the next three school years.
All totalled, the raise will cost the school $2 million per year, split between the college's 285 full-time faculty members, according to the Gazette.
The contract was negotiated between the school and the Kirkwood Faculty association, the bargaining organization that represents the full time faculty.

But, the raise doesn't just cover salaries — approximately half of the four percent raise will go for insurance or retirement plans.
