Linn County Sheriff: Attempted Child Abduction Reported in Fairfax
Authorities are asking for more information on the possible suspects, a man and a woman who were reported to have been driving a blue four door sedan.

The Linn County Sheriff's Department says there was an attempted abduction of two children near Fairfax yesterday.
According to a news release, on Tuesday at roughly 4:14 p.m. the sheriff's department received a complaint of an attempted child abduction near the intersection of 2nd Street and Horizon Avenue in Fairfax.
The girls, aged 10 and 12, reported that a man and woman had attempted to lure them into their vehicle. The male passenger was described as having short grey hair and a pointed goeatee with a build, and was a tan coat and plaid shirt. The female, who was the driver, was described as having shoulder length grey hair that was curely at the ends.

The vehicle involved is described as being a dark blue Mazda four door sedan, possiblya Protégé, with rust on the rear passenger side.
This appears to be an isolated incident and the investigation continues. Anyone havinginformation concerning this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 319-398-3911.
