Marion City Council: Lowe Park Update, DARE Program, TIF Payment
Marion City Council has a work session on Tuesday.
A tax increment financing reimbursement, a presentation on the D.A.R.E. program and substance abuse enforcement and a Lowe Park Amphitheater Project update are on the agenda when Marion City Council meets Tuesday.
The City Council has a work session at 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. Voting occurs at the regular meeting on Thursday.

Tax increment financing, or TIF, reimbursement as approved in the development agreement with Barry Smith, Jr., related to South 31st Street from Grand Avenue to Highway 100 in the Squaw Creek Meadows.
The council members will also receive recommendations from the traffic advisory council about requests, including traffic changes around Marion schools.

There's a request to establish a speed limit on 31st Street from 10th Avenue to Highway 100, and also a request for traffic changes to 4th Avenue and 13th Street.
