Marion City Council Preview: Possible Garbage Tag Fee Hikes, Three Public Hearings

Thursday night's Marion City Council meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers on 1225 6th Avenue.

Tonight, the Marion City Council will vote on whether or not to raise garbage tag fee rates from $1.25 to $1.50 and will hold three public hearings.

The first public hearing is on a possible amendment to the future land use map of the Marion comprehensive plan, which could change the designation on 4000 Highway 151 from public/semi public to neighborhood commercial.

The second public hearing concerns the zoning on the same property, which is the possible future site of St. Luke's Health Care Foundation.
