Marion Fire Dept. Responds to Crash on Snow-Covered Road
The crash occurred on C Avenue East near Echo Hill Road.

The Marion Fire Department, and other agencies, responded to a crash this morning near Echo Hill Road, that was due to snowy conditions.
No one was injured.
Marion Fire Department, Area Ambulance, Linn County Rescue 57 and Linn County Deputies were dispatched to C Ave. about half mile south of Echo Hill Road for a single-vehicle accident, according to a news release.Â

Deputies arrived to find a 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by Peggy Sheetz, 51, of Cedar Rapids, had been northbound on C Ave East when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow covered roadway and entered the east ditch.
The vehicle remained upright and Sheetz was wearing her safety belt. She was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids by Area Ambulance for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
