New Assistant to City Manager Among Two High Level Hires in Marion

The City of Marion has made two high level hires this week: a communications coordinator and an assistant to the city manager.

Amanda Kaufman will be serving as assistant to the city manager. She'll be helping out with various tax increment financing projects and will be helping Marion develop information technology and public communications.

Amber Bisinger will essentially serve as Marion's spokesperson, and will work on online outreach for the city to keep residents informed with what is happening.

Prior to taking the job in Marion, Kaufman served as a local government management fellow in Olathe, KA, while Bisinger was previously an advancement specialist at the and Outreach in Linn County.
