Marion Man Taken to Hospital After Car Accident Near Culver's
Robert Zynda was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and received a citation for failure to maintain control. He was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.

A Marion man wound up in the hospital after a single-vehicle car accident near Culver's Nursery on Tuesday.
Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies and Linn County Rescue 57 along with the Marion Fire Department and Area Ambulance Service responded to an accident at about 1:58 p.m. on Tuesday.
The accident occurred at 1682 Dubuque Road just outside of Marion.

A vehicle had been east bound on Dubuque Road and went off of the roadway and ended up in the front lawn of Culver’s Nursery, 1682 Dubuque Road.
Robert Zynda, 50, of Marion, was the driver and only occupant. He lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway striking several objects before coming to a stop, according to a news release from Linn County Sheriff's.

Zynda was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids for what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Zynda was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and received a citation for failure to maintain control.
The accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
