The first ever Marion Rotary Marathon for Shoes will be held this Sunday in and around Marion, and organizers are planning a moment of silence in recognition of the Boston Marathon bombing.
The bombing left three people dead and more than 100 injured.
"In recognition of this week's tragic events at the Boston Marathon, we will plan to observe a moment of silence prior to the start of the Marathon, Marathon Relay, and UICCU Half Marathon," organizers posted on the events Facebook page.
