CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – May 24, 2013 –  At 7:51 am, the Cedar Rapids Police was notified of a suspicious package at Wilson Ave and I380 SW. The Cedar Rapids Police,  Marion Police and Linn County Sheriff’s Explosive Ordinance Device Teams responded. Wilson Ave was closed for about 1 ½ hours. The suspicious package was a styrofoam cooler with food. It appears to have been left by someone for “those in need”. Although this was intended to be done with good intentions, this is not something that Linn County Law Enforcement recommends.
