Marion Weather: Rain and Drops in Temperatures on Our Way

Soak up that nice weather today, since sadly it's not going to last.

80 degrees on Oct. 24, you knew that was too good to be true, right? Well...

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities is forecasting a Hazardous Weather Outlook for southeastern Iowa that could include thunderstorms following a cold front, although these storms will likely not be too severe.

THURSDAY....A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA. WIDESPREAD RAIN AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL ACCOMPANY THE FRONT. HOWEVER...EXTENSIVE CLOUD COVER AND MINIMAL INSTABILITY SHOULD KEEP THE RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER VERY LOW.

Besides bringing the rain, this should also serve to drop temperatures in the area. Expect highs in the (brace yourself) mid 40s on Friday.
