Marion Woman Charged with Felony Forgery At Casey's: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Marion Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Marion Police say 54-year-old Marion resident Kathy Lawrance was caught writing forged checks at the Casey’s General Store on Seventh Avenue.

She was charged with forgery last May 8 at 4:26 p.m., according to Marion Police Detective Lance Miller.

Forgery is a class D felony.

Jeffrey Harlan Schoon, 37, Cedar Rapids, was charged May 4 with driving with a barred license, habitual offender, at the 1200 block of Medowview Drive.

Matthew Ryan Merta, 27, 2980 Second Street, Marion, was charged May 5 with public consumption/intoxication and disorderly conduct at 648 Eighth Street.

Kendra Su Christensen, 22, Cedar Rapids, was charged May 5 with public consumption/intoxication and disorderly conduct at 648 Eight Street.

Cecil Raymond Smith. 40, Cedar Rapids, was arrested May 8 in conjunction with an outstanding arrest warrant, at 340 Marion Boulevard.

Jennifer Me Handel, 34, 515 Bentley Drive, Marion, was charged May 8 with public consumption/intoxication, at the corner of Bentley Drive and Boyson Road. 

Crystal Marie Joslin, 31, Iowa City, was charged May 8 with driving with a suspended license at the corner of 35th Street and Boyson Road.

Marvin Bill Bluedorn, 51, 1406 George Drive, Marion, was arrested May 9 in conjunction with an outstanding arrest warrant at 1406 George Drive.
