Memorial Day 2013: What's Open and What's Closed?
Here's are some of the Marion, Linn County and Cedar Rapids places that will be open or closed for the holiday.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 27. Take a moment to remember those who gave their lives for our country.Â
A handful of city offices and amenities will be closed on Memorial Day. Here's what's closed:

- Marion City Hall
- Garbage pick up is pushed back one day the week of Memorial Day.Â
- Marion Public Library
- Solid Waste Agency
- Marion Post Office
- Linn County governmental offices
Open:
- Eastern Iowa Airport
- Marion Parks
- Marion Municipal Pool (Willowood Park)
- Cedar Rapids Pools
- The Sheriff’s Office will be available for routine and emergency responses. This includes the Patrol Division, Communications Division and the Correctional Center.
- Cedar Rapids Splash Pad opens on May 25. The water is on daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Bever and Jones Pools
