Missing Alabama Teen Marshall with Iowa City Ties Found Safe in Cedar Rapids

The Iowa City Police released a brief update notifying the public that Donald Marshall had been found safe in Cedar Rapids.

A teen that had been missing since the middle of July has been discovered unharmed in Cedar Rapids, according to the Iowa City Police Department.

The police department issued a brief release indicating that Donald Marshall, 16, has been discovered and that his family has been notified.

Last week Iowa City Police Department asked for public assistance in helping to locate a teenage boy who had been missing since July 16.

Marshall now lives in Alabama after moving there with his family but had recently been in Iowa City attending camp and visiting relatives, according to a press release from the Iowa City police department.

According to the release, his Iowa City family members took Marshall to a Greyhound Bus terminal on July 16, and he was scheduled to arrive in Alabama on the morning of July 17. He, however, never arrived and apparently did not make a scheduled transfer in Davenport on July 16.

Family reported Marshall missing to the police on July 18.
