Motorcycle Crash Victim Sues For Damages

The passenger of a deadly motorcycle crash is suing the driver of the colliding vehicle for injuries and damages.

Tami Mysak was sitting behind Marion resident Matthew Dunkel when he was struck and killed by an SUV driven by 18-year-old Jagger Glubka.

Mysak the accident and was hospitalized, but now she is suing Glubka for the cost of injuries and damages related to the accident.

According to court documents, 51-year-old Mysak alleges that the driver was neglegent in causing the accident.

The document does not list a set dollar amount, rather the suit suggests that Glubka and the owner of the car, Stacey Lynn Sersig, are liable for  "an amount sufficient to compensate her for all injuries and damages; for interest and costs as provided for by law; and for such further relief deemed appropriate."

The accident occurred on March 24. At the time, the  reported that Dunkel was heading north on Highway 13 when Glubka turned from Hennessey Drive onto northbound Highway 13 without yielding to Dunkel.

The report said that 40-year-old Dunkel could not have avoided colliding with the SUV. According to the report, Dunkel was not wearing a helmet.

Dunkel was killed in the crash, but his female passenger, Tami Mysak, survived and was transported to a local hospital.
