Oh Christmas Tree, It's Time for You and Your Dropping Needles to Go
Marion will be picking up Christmas trees on the curbside, and trash collection has been pushed back.

Back to business.
The holidays are over so time to get rid of that dead Christmas tree.
Marion public services will be picking trees up at your curb until Jan. 11. They should be free of decorations, stands and should not be flocked. They'll be picked up on your normal garbage day. After Jan. 11 trees can be taken to the compost drop-off facility at 195 35th St. during normal business hours.

Speaking of waste, Marion garbage collection is pushed back one day for the rest of the week through Friday. This was due to no collection on New Year's Day.
And, the city will be collecting brush through Friday, Jan. 4, for people who lost branches or limbs in the recent snow storm. Bring the debris to the curb for collection by city crews.
