Over 20 Construction Projects in Marion — Which Roads are Closed? In Case You Missed It
Marion Patch received an update on closed roads and construction from the Marion City Engineer.

Marion is currently undergoing well over 20 construction projects, which can make driving a little difficult.
So while the city undergoes its growing pains, we'd thought you'd like to know where you can, and can't, drive in Marion.
Marion Engineer, Dan Whitlow, has announced the following road closures.

McGowan Boulevard
McGowan Boulevard: 27th St - 29th Street. Closed Wednesday morning (6/13/12) for reconstruction. 27th Street/ McGowan Blvd intersection will be closed. 29thSt/ McGowan Blvd intersection will be open. Section of McGowan Blvd: 31st St- 29th Street will be open to local traffic only.
Seventh Avenue.

7th Avenue west of 35th Street. Closed to one lane in eastbound direction for driveway work associated with Lincolnview Square. Completion is expected Tuesday afternoon.
12th Street. Closed to through traffic for storm sewer installation from First Avenue - Third Avenue. Block by block closures will be made to Sixth Avenue as construction progresses.
Daleview Drive
Closed from S 22nd St to Highview Drive. Road Restrictions - one lane at times for draintile installation.
Sixth Avenue
Closed from 8th to 10th Street. Closed for reconstruction for approximately four weeks.
S 11th Street: Grand Avenue to Hillview Drive closed for reconstruction. Both intersections (Grand Avenue , Hillview Drive) to remain open to traffic. Closed for approximately four weeks.
