Police Seek Public's Help In Murder Investigation

Police said Ronald Kunkle, 22, was the victim of a homicide. He was found in his Cedar Rapids home Monday.

Police said Ronald Kunkle, 22, was the victim of a homicide. He was found in his Cedar Rapids home Monday.

Police are seeking the public's help in the investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CS-CRIME (272-7463) or text to CRIMES (274637) and in the message/subject, type 5227 and the tip.

According to police, authorities were called to Kunkle's residence, 5663 Kirkwood Blvd. S.W., #9, at about 3:30 p.m. Monday, where they found his body. The cause of death has not been released.

Kunkle's parents Robert and Mary Kunkle currently live in Cedar Falls, according to his obituary. Ronald Kunkle was born in Detroit, Mich., and was a student at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the Allen Child Protection Center.
