Report: Linn-Mar Gets Impressive Ranking from National Magazine
Linn-Mar is among the best schools in Iowa, and the nation, according to a survey released today.

We already knew it, but Linn-Mar High School students stand out in the crowd.
A national magazine, U.S. News and World Report, agrees.
Linn-Mar High School ranks as the No. 5 best high school in Iowa, and No. 947 in the nation. That may sound high, but think about how many schools are out there.

Students scored well on reading and math - 89 percent are proficient in reading and 92 percent are proficient in math. The student body also scored a 33 on the college readiness index. The 17:1 student to teacher ratio, is above average.
Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Linn-Mar High School is 36 percent. The student body makeup is 50 percent male and 50 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 11 percent.

In Iowa, the cream of the crop is Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. The school came in at No. 550 in the nation.
