Rick Santorum to Make Marion Stop Today
Former Pennsylvania congressman and presidential candidate Rick Santorum will come to The Campbell Steele Gallery.

Presidential candidate Rick Santorum will make an appearance in 14 different Iowa cities in the course of five days.
Today, he stops in Marion, where he will be addressing the National Contract Management Association at the at 6:30 p.m. The event is closed to the public.

So far, Santorum has done more in-person campaigning than any other Republican presidential candidate. Still, according to the most recent Iowa Poll by the Des Moines Register, he is a top choice among only 6 percent of polled Iowans.
He recently told the Des Moines Register that he hopes to gain the votes of the vast majority of caucus goers who remain undecided.

However, Tim Hagle, associate professor of Political Science at the University of Iowa, said Santorum's best hope is to finish fourth in the caucus.
Santorum might have an advantage due to his constant campaigning, said Hagle. His door-to-door interactions might mean that he will bring more people to the caucus than the polling by the Des Moines Register would suggest.
