Rockwell Collins Eliminates 55 Jobs in Cedar Rapids
Rockwell Collins announced to employees on Monday that cuts are coming mostly to their government systems operations department
One of Linn County's largest employers, Rockwell Collins, has announced their cutting 55 positions.
Rockwell Collins officials said the eliminations are part of cutbacks due to decreasing government spending and the "slower than expected" economic recovery, according to the Gazette.
Most of the cuts are coming from engineers and operators in the government systems operations department.
