Santorum Endorses ‘Tireless Campaigner’ Ben Lange

Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who , has thrown his support behind First District Congressional candidate Ben Lange.

Lange, a lawyer from Independence, nearly upset Democratic incumbent Bruce Braley, in the previous election season, and, the jury is still out on whether Braley or Lange benefits more from the newly redrawn district lines.

"He will be a tremendous representative for the people of Iowa in the halls of Congress, and I look forward to working with Ben’s campaign to help elect him as the next congressman for northeast Iowa," said Santorum in a news release, according to the Des Moines Register.

The message was released under a non-profit Santorum started shortly after bowing out of the presidential race. It is called Patriot Voices.

Lange was an active supporter, at times introducing Santorum at campaign events, during the former Pennsylvania Senator's march through Iowa.
