Marion Business Spotlight: Scones Don't Play 2nd Fiddle to Coffee at Wit's End Coffeehouse
Wit's End has made a few changes, but a few things that aren't changing are the delicious coffee and scones.

You may think of Wit's End Coffeehouse for its, well, coffee. But, anybody who's tried one of the scones knows the Marion business could be renamed as a "sconehouse."
"Our coffee and espresso drinks are wonderful, but we're famous for our scones and outstanding customer service," said Cathy Petersen, the chief scone baker, coffee brewer and owner.
There's a number of changes afoot at Wit's End, but alas, a transition from a coffeehouse to sconehouse is not among them.

What is your favorite, the coffee or scones?
Wit's End, which is located at 630 10th Street in Marion, has a new logo, a new sign and a brand new website at witsendcoffeehouse.com. The name is also now "Wit's End," down a 't' and an 'e' from the original name - "Witte's End."

Wit's End Coffeehouse is located in Marion's historic Uptown District in a house built by the Murdoch family in 1850, Petersen said. Â

Wit's End originally opened in February 2007. In 2006, previous owner Deb Witte drove by the house, saw a "For Rent" sign in the yard, and the rest is history, Petersen said.
