Sheriff: Hazardous Roadways, 'Black Ice' in Places Throughout Linn County
Drivers in Marion and Linn County should use "extreme caution" when driving. Road conditions remain dangerous in some places. Linn County tow ban remains in effect.

It seems winter storm Magnus has passed, although it is still freezing outside and the after effects remain.Â
Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardner has issued a warning to use "extreme caution." Road conditions in some places remain hazardous.
The public is advised that roadway conditions throughout Linn County remain hazardous in places. The blowing snow is creating black ice conditions in many locations. Drivers are advised to use extreme caution when traveling today and this evening. Drive at reduced speeds and allow yourself plenty of time and distance to be able to stop.

As a reminder, the tow ban continues for Linn County, except in cases where the disabled vehicle poses a traffic hazard.
