Speak Out About Marion Sewer Rate Increase on Thursday
Marion residents could pay a little more for sanitary sewer services.

Marion residents will get a chance to speak up if they have any input on a proposed rate change for sanitary sewer services on Thursday.
A public hearing will be held during the regular City Council meeting on Thursday. It begins at 7 p.m. Following the hearing, City Council will get a chance to vote on the measure.
If approved, City Manager Lon Pluckhahn said most users will pay about $6 more per month.

"Public service estimates that the bimonthly bill for a typical user would go from $39 to $42," Pluckhahn said.
The code change calls for increasing monthly sanitary sewer service charges from $7 to $8 per dwelling with revised schedule for domestic user charges.
