Update: 1 in Critical Condition After 3 Found Shot in Cedar Rapids; Police Seek 2 Men

If you have plans in Cedar Rapids today, avoid Third Avenue SE for the time being. It is shut down as police investigate a shooting.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – May 23, 2013 – The Cedar Rapids Police Department responded to 1233 3^rd Avenue SE apartment #3 reference a shooting.  Officers found three victims who had been shot.  The victims were shot while standing outside of the apartment.  All of the victims have been transported to local hospitals.  One of the victims is in critical condition and the other two are in serious condition with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.        

The Cedar Rapids Police Department shut down Third Ave Southeast for a short period of time however it is now open to traffic.

Officers are looking for two black males who ran from the scene and got into a green van.  Direction of travel is unknown.  Both suspects were wearing black sweatshirts and blue jeans.
