Thunderstorm Warning: Torrential Rain Possible for Northern Linn County
There has also been hail in some of these storms.

Update: The Thunderstorm warning has been extended until 8:15 p.m.
From the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities:
..A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for Buchanan...Northern Benton...Delaware and Northern Linn counties until 745 p.m.
At 712 pm cdt...Severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Masonville to Garrison...And moving east at 25 mph.
Hazard...60 to 70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
Source...Trained weather spotters reported strong wind gusts east of independence at 705 pm cdt.
Impact...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile Homes, roofs and outbuildings.
This includes interstate 380 between mile markers 28 and 55.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
Damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning kills.Remember...If you can hear thunder you are close enough to be Struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways!
