UPDATE: Trees Fall on Homes But No Reported Injuries in Cedar Rapids or Marion
After being under a tornado watch for a good portion of Sunday, the Cedar Rapids area survived with damage to property but no reported injuries.

In Marion, there were no reported injuries or property damage, according to Marion Police Lt. Scott Elam.

He said police received two weather-related alarms, probably due to power going off; two calls of power lines down and sparking and four calls of tree/limbs down

Cedar Rapids Police say a strong storm blew through the Cedar Rapids area Sunday evening causing some major property damage but there's been no injuries reported.
The storm rolled in at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday night, Police Sgt. Clint Fangmann said in a news release.
Between 10:45 p.m. and midnight, the Cedar Rapids Police Department and Fire Department responded to approximately 80 incidents consisting mostly of business alarms, downed trees and downed power lines, he said.
This included three reports of trees falling on homes. Power outages are scattered in all quadrants of the city, he said. A Â At the time he sent out the news release, he said there were no reports of storm-related injuries.
Crews from the city and Alliant are currently working to clear the roadways and restore power, he said.
