Two Marion Businesses Fail Tobacco Checks
Two Marion businesses missed on a tobacco check conducted by the Marion Police last Friday.

Last Friday, the Marion Police Department conducted a tobacco compliance check to see if local businesses would sell cigarettes to underage buyers. An underage person was sent into 24 local businesses and attempted to buy cigarettes, and only two businesses did, Walmart and Big Shots Bar & Grill.
The sale of tobacco to a minor is a simple misdemeanor that comes with a fine of $195. You can check the attached PDF for more information about the tobacco check.
