Library director Doug Raber told Patch on Tuesday that while the incident sounds serious - and library workers took it seriously - it ultimately proved to be a case of a man who was frustrated by noisy teens and lost his temper. The man never took any actions, and staff never felt their was a legitimate threat, he said.

Police learned of the incident when a witness called them about four hours after it happened, and the library notified police shortly thereafter.

Miller said if people ever hear such a threat, they are advised to contact authorities immediately.

"Certainly anyone hearing of a threat of this nature, be it in person or as a third party, is encourage to contact their local law enforcement agency ASAP," Miller said in the email.
