What in the World is Cyber Monday?
What to expect for deals with online retail stores this Monday.

Last week my boss asked me if I am going to cover Cyber Monday, in addition to Black Friday.
I said yes, feeling too stupid to ask him what is "Cyber Monday."
Cyber Monday is this Monday. It is the online store version of Black Friday that has the worst aspects of Black Friday removed: fighting in stores with impatient customers with greed-glazed eyes and waking up obscenely early.

According to Wikipedia, Cyber Monday resulted from a survey in 2005 that showed that the Monday following Thanksgiving, 77 percent of online stores reported significantly higher sales.
But enough of the history. You presumably came here to find out how to spend the money you didn't blow last Friday.

If you want a simple guide, I would suggest going to Shop.org's Cyber Monday page, which has a fairly comprehensive guide to many different deals with various online outlets.
Big online retailers such as Amazon, Newegg and Buy should also have some deals worth taking advantage of on Monday. Be sure to check out big brick-and-mortor retail websites, such as Target, Sears and Walmart, which offer some fairly aggressive deals as well.
For those of us that aren't aware of exactly how much you should be paying for that 32 inch LCD TV, be sure to check out Price Grabber, an online resource where you can cross reference items with the going price at various online retailers.
