What's Marion City Council's Approval Rating?

The new Marion City Council has been active for the last three or so months, but how do you think they are doing?

A city council is a unique government body.

The decisions and rhetoric of city council members lack much of the political strategy and divisive statements that we hear from our state and national legislature.

And while, from a journalists standpoint, the decisions may not be as sexy as the legislature, they have a direct impact on our lives.

But because the political competition at the local level is low when compared to a congressional race, there doesn't seem to be anyone out there measuring the approval ratings of our city council.

Thus far, the city council has been working on a for a plasma arc facility, click if you don't know what that means, have been furthering plans for a new police and have raised of dollars in bonds for street and sewer improvements, including the reconstruction of Seventh Avenue.
