Winter Storm Rocky: Marion Predicted to Get a Dusting of Snow as Another Winter Storm Rumbles Past Today
Marion shouldn't get the heavy snowfall that southeastern Iowa and Missouri is predicted to today, but the most recent winter storm could provide a bit of snow over the next few days.

Sorry Marion students, this winter storm probably won't be bad enough to cancel school for you again.
Unless it should shift dramatically northward in the next few hours. So cross your fingers for that.
The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has declared that Marion has a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the next two days, starting this afternoon. This outlook, however, is not as hazardous as that for the towns directly to Marion's south and east, as Linn County sits right outside bands of predicted heavier snow.

Still, even though snow fall totals should not reach high levels if predictions hold, the high winds associated with this storm along with the snow already on the ground could cause problems, so drive safely this afternoon and tonight.
