The heaviest snow bands will likely fall in areas closer to the Mississippi River. As a result, this is where the heaviest totals of 8-10” are going to be. To the southwest, including Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City, storm total snowfall of 4-8” is likely. Generally south of Interstate 80, accumulations will end up around 2-4”.
