The coalition brings together cities, businesses and nonprofits to follow a regional blueprint, expand shelter options and speed access to stable housing over the next five years.
• Iowa license-plate cameras may be invading your privacy, ACLU claims (desmoinesregister.com subscription) — Urbandale is among several central Iowa cities using automated license-plate cameras, raising new privacy concerns highlighted in a fresh ACLU report. Civil liberties advocates say inconsistent rules and long-term data sharing contracts could expose local drivers to unnecessary surveillance and urge communities to pause vendor agreements until statewide protections are in place.
