The Urbandale Community School District (UCSD) welcomes your preschool and/or kindergarten student(s)! We take great care in creating a culture of learning in our classrooms to help make the transition to preschool and kindergarten a positive experience for your child(ren) and family. Our focus is to help each child learn, grow, and achieve success on the pathway of lifelong learning. We’re looking forward to welcoming your child(ren) and family this fall!

Preschool Pre-Registration Now Open

Preschool Pre-Registration for the 2022-23 school year began online at 6:00 p.m. on February 1, 2022. Click here to review detailed Preschool Pre-Registration Information for the 2022-2023 school year.

Please Note: Preschool Pre-Registration will not only pre-register your student, but will play a key role in determining facility and programming needs for the 2022-2023 school year. Pre-registering your student does not guarantee your student a spot in the Urbandale Preschool Program. Once all facility and programming decisions are confirmed, you will be contacted regarding your acceptance into the Urbandale Preschool Program by April 15, 2022.

Kindergarten Pre-Registration Now Open
Kindergarten Pre-Registration for the 2022-2023 school year began online February 1, 2022. Click here to review detailed Kindergarten Pre-Registration Information for the 2022-2023 school year.

Kindergarten students must be residents of the Urbandale Community School District or file the appropriate paperwork. Please see the section of our website about Open Enrollment if you do not live within district boundaries. To be eligible for kindergarten a child must be 5 years old by September 15, 2022.
